We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the same from all users of our Platform—including veterinarians, pet parents, veterinary clinics, pet product vendors, and service providers.

1. Ownership of Content

Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property, including text, images, logos, UI/UX elements, AI models, code, and documentation available on the Xyrus Platform is owned by Xyrus Technologies LLC or its licensors and is protected under:

The Copyright Act, 1957 (India)
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 1998 (USA)
The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act, 1988 (UK)
and international treaties including the Berne Convention and TRIPS Agreement.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content from Xyrus may violate applicable copyright laws and is strictly prohibited.

2. Use of Third-Party Content

Xyrus may host or display content uploaded by third parties, such as clinics, vendors, and users. This includes logos, images, pet records, promotional banners, blog content, or videos. Xyrus is not liable for content uploaded without proper permissions and expects users to only submit content they have legal rights to use or share.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you hold the necessary rights or licenses to any content you upload.

3. User-Generated Content (UGC)

By uploading or posting any content on the Xyrus Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, display, distribute, and adapt your content for the purposes of delivering and improving the Services.

This license allows Xyrus to:

Display content in clinic listings or product pages
Provide content to users as part of their experience
Train and enhance AI models (in de-identified or aggregated form)

You confirm that:

You own or have secured the necessary licenses or rights to your content
Your content does not violate the rights of others
You are not violating any confidentiality or privacy obligations

Where personal data or pet health data is involved, processing will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws, including GDPR (UK/EU) and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP).

4. Copyright Infringement & Takedown Procedures For US Users – DMCA Compliance

If you believe that any content on the Xyrus Platform infringes your copyright, you may file a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

To submit a DMCA-compliant notice, provide:

Description of copyrighted work
URL/location of infringing content
Your contact details
Statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized
Statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate
Signature (physical or electronic)

Users in the UK or India may also notify us about copyright violations. Please include:

5. Repeat Infringers

Xyrus follows a three-strike policy: repeat copyright violators may have their accounts suspended or terminated in accordance with the laws of applicable jurisdictions and our Terms of Service.
